Amanda Monaco's Deathblow
A project that doesn't really have anything to do with the name, but my husband's fascination with metal prompted it, and I couldn't come up with anything else, so here it is. The music is more "inside" than the am4, but has room for growth within its improvised sections.
Amanda Monaco - guitar, compositions
Michael Attias - alto and baritone saxophones
Sean Conly - acoustic bass
Satoshi Takeishi - drums
Debut album released on LateSet Records.
Buy it on Amazon!

Playdate
Though this may be a new group, it has deep roots. Friends since high
school, Monaco, Baerman, and Escoffery studied music together at the
Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, Conn. Joined with new friends
Lugo and Sperrazza (also members of Baerman's piano trio), they swing and
bop their way through tunes penned by Monaco and Baerman, a delightful
combination of the hard bop tradition and modern harmonic sophistications.
Amanda Monaco - guitar, compositions
Noah Baerman - piano, compositions
Wayne Escoffery - tenor, soprano saxophones
Henry Lugo - acoustic bass
Vinnie Sperrazza - drums
Debut album released on Positone Records.
